The sound goes to a very muffled, low muffled tone. You can barely hear it. The only way we figured out how to fix it is to turn it on mute and then off mute.

When you cancel your service with Sling TV, be very careful that you eliminate your payment method with them because they will continue to charge you without your consent even after they confirm your cancellation, and then they will not refund you due to their policy of “not giving refunds”. They customer service will also act belligerently and will refuse to let you speak to a supervisor, or will just decide to hand up on you if they feel they don’t like the interaction.
I have attached the transcript of the conversation with this representative, the proof of cancellation I completed with Sling on 10/13/2025, and the proof of PayPal autopay cancellation - which I have been forced to do because I cannot trust that Sling will follow through with properly cancelling my subscription despite your representative saying she would.

- - Paid on desktop, but TV apps don’t recognize the subscription.
- - Support was unhelpful with a canned script; no fix or escalation.
Tried to activate STINK (a/k/a Sling) today and the whole system fell apart.
I paid for the service on my desktop PC, but the STINK app on my TV and Fire TV Cube refused to recognize my subscription. Instead, it kept trying to make me pay again and again like I never subscribed.
Support was completely useless.
They just repeated the same canned script over and over (screenshot attached). No fix, no escalation, no actual help.
Posting this so others dont waste their time or money on a service that cant even activate properly.

I paid for the 3 day Orange plan so I could watch basketball on ESPN. This channel stayed locked.
I would never pay to use sling again. Unacceptable to pay for something not available as promised.

I saw an ad to sign up for a day pass for $5 to watch the Red Wings game. The game was not available on Sling, so I did not watch anything.
They refused to refund me because I was not able to call until after the day pass had expired.
They told me to dispute it with my bank. I told them I would never use Sling again, and they said that’s my choice.

Keeps getting worse, no live customer service. Lost all the local channels and they raised the price. Chat bot cut me off and was rude, if you can believe that.
First, my Airtv stopped working, and I couldn't get help. Now my local channels won't load, and the chatbot cut my chat right off.
I'm in the process of leaving Sling and looking into other streaming services.
Plus, Sling just raised prices, and I was not even notified. Not having live customer service is absolutely wrong and will bring Sling down.

No access. Sling sent me in circles, none of which allowed me to watch what I wanted.

I suspect thats how they resolve customer problems.
My issue is not a big one but resolving it is cheap and easy. Maybe easy for Sling=ignore.
